With schools closed all around the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have faced an unprecedented need to quickly adapt our teaching methods, prepare resources for our students in a variety of formats and hone our tech skills.
Teachers have risen up to this challenge in a commendable manner, displaying resilience and determination to continue to provide an excellent learning experience to their pupils. Whilst we keep busy planning, reviewing curriculums, giving feedback and supporting the wellbeing of our learners, teachers are also seeking opportunities to share good practice and develop their teaching.
A range of organizations, professionals and researchers are supporting teachers and students in this endeavour. This might be by making textbooks and resources available, offering free or discounted subscriptions to services or providing tips and guidance. Additionally, many have organised a wide variety of online CPD sessions and webinars! I have included a compilation of CPD for languages teachers below, as well as CPD that is not subject specific.
I would like to use this opportunity to thank all the wonderful people who are organising and delivering these sessions, supporting the professional development of teachers.
I hope you enjoy these opportunities and feel as inspired and motivated as I do!
